PEOPLE in the Bradford district and Craven are invited to hear about the progress and plans of their local NHS at a joint annual general meeting.

Following the formation of the new NHS Bradford District and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on April 1, this will be the last AGM for the former NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, Bradford City and Bradford Districts CCGs.

The joint AGM will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 1pm.

In a change to previous years, in response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and to maintain social distancing, the AGM will be held online. People will still have the opportunity to hear about the work that has been undertaken over the last 12 months as well as looking ahead to the priorities for the future.

Dr James Thomas, clinical chair of NHS Bradford District and Craven CCG, said: “We will be talking about our achievements from the past year as well as our plans for the future, now we have become one CCG, and how we are working together across health, care and the voluntary and community sector to support people to be happy, healthy at home.”

Annual reports and accounts, for 2019/20, for each CCG will be available before the meeting on the new NHS Bradford District and Craven CCG website. There will also be an opportunity for people to ask questions of the clinical leaders of the CCG.

To attend the meeting, members of the public are asked to contact Stacey Fleming, corporate governance manager, by email at stacey.fleming@bradford.nhs.uk, who will be able to share the login details.

If any member of the public wants to ask a question at the AGM they should submit them no later than 4pm on Friday, July 10, via stacey.fleming@bradford.nhs.uk. There will also be a chance to ask them on the day.

Questions from the public will be read aloud at the meeting. All questions and answers will be made publicly available via the CCG’s website
