A MAN has been jailed for breaching a court order and assaulting an emergency worker after police went to his ex-partner's home.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Tony Coates, 33, of Tiverton Walk, Holme Wood, had been staying at his former partner's home despite a restraining order.
She felt it was easier than him living elsewhere when she did not know when he would contact her next.
But on May 12 he was drinking heavily and became abusive after she told him she no longer loved him and he threw a glass through a TV screen worth £300. He became abusive, trying to push a police officer before parva spray subdued him.
Coates was jailed by Judge Jonathan Rose for eight months for the order breach and four and one month concurrently for the assault and criminal damage.
