A SECTION of a listed pub could become a beauty salon if new plans are approved.
A planning application to change the use of part of The Great Northern in Thornton has been submitted to Bradford Council by David Williams.
If approved, the plans would allow a glazed section of the building's ground floor, currently used as restaurant space, to be converted to a hair and beauty salon.
The majority of the building, which is on Thornton Road, will remain a pub.
Plan to turn part of pub into car showroom is approved
The Great Northern is Grade II listed, and the application says the change of uses will have a minimal impact on the building.
It adds: "It is our view that the change of use which is required to maintain the future viability of the building, will have no effect on the Listed building."
A decision on the application is expected next month.
