LATEST NEWS: NO new coronavirus deaths reported at hospitals in Bradford district after rise yesterday

THREE further coronavirus-related hospital deaths have been reported today in Bradford.

According to the latest NHS England figures, which are released daily at 2pm, the three deaths were recorded by the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

One death was yesterday, one was on June 30 and another on June 24.

No new deaths were reported by Airedale or the Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

This means the total number of hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 336 - 226 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 108 at Airedale and two at the Care Trust.

The figures released daily include confirmed death cases reported at 5pm the previous day.

NHS England says: "Confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure. This means that the totals reported at 5pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."

Nationally, the deaths of a further 35 people - six in Yorkshire and the North East - who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) were announced, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,794.

Patients were aged between 54 and 92 years old.  Two patients, aged 54 and 84, had no known underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed.
