THE producer of the Alhambra pantomime will decide this summer whether the show will go on.

Qdos Entertainment, the UK's biggest panto producer, has set a deadline of August 3 to decide whether its 34 shows across the country - including Sleeping Beauty at the Alhambra - will go ahead.

Bradford Theatres released this statement from Qdos: “Qdos Entertainment are currently keeping plans under review, considering it too early to make further decisions about Christmas while plans to reopen theatres are yet to be worked through.”

Sleeping Beauty is due to run at the Alhambra from December 12 to January 24, starring panto stalwart Billy Pearce. Pantos are vital to theatres' income, and cancellations could put some venues at risk.
