TWO cars "racing" on a motorway were caught by police, with one of the vehicles seized for no insurance.
West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) first spotted the cars "racing" on the M1, at around 1.55pm yesterday.
Officers were already split into two groups - an eastern and western team.
The eastern team managed to stop one of the vehicles involved in the race and dealt with the driver.
The western team than caught up with the "speeder" in a white Volkswagen GTI.
The driver had no insurance.
Police seized the car and reported the driver.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Vehicle sighted racing another vehicle on the M1.
"Officer’s from team five eastern stopped the vehicle it was racing and dealt with the driver.
"Team five western then caught up with this speeder who unfortunately had no insurance.
"Vehicle seized and driver reported."
