TWO more people have been arrested for begging offences in Bradford city centre after refusing help from authorities.
The Bradford City force went into the city to tackle anti-social behaviour when they caught one beggar breaching the terms of previous court bail conditions.
He is now being remanded in custody for court on Monday while another beggar was reported.
The West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said both of those reported had not taken help from the homeless outreach team.
They said: "Begging is a criminal offence and it can be intimidating for those who are approached by beggars.
"As previously stated, we work closely with partners to offer support to those in need, this includes people that are found begging. We work with the homeless outreach team who can help with housing homeless individuals.
"Unfortunately some people do not take the help available."
