A BRADFORD school has confirmed two more cases of coronavirus after a recent outbreak.

High Park School, in Thorn Lane, Heaton, revealed there had been more than one case of COVID-19 at the school in an official statement on Wednesday.

Now two more members of staff have tested positive, meaning the school will be closed until Monday, July 6.

In a post on its official Facebook page today, a spokesperson for High Park School said: "We regret to tell you that we have had two more staff with confirmed cases of Coronavirus.

"This affects both the Cleaning and Catering Teams and unfortunately we have had to close the school until Monday 6th July. We are in frequent contact with the staff who are affected.

"We are in constant contact with Public Health England and they have given us advice and support throughout this situation. We will continue to support families throughout this closure through wellbeing calls and please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries or questions."

The school has given out four numbers for concerned parents or guardians to call as follows: Ann 01274 024351/Hannah 01274 024286/Sarah 01274024382 and Rachel 01274 215456.

It comes after the T&A received reports that a text message was sent to those involved with High Park School on Monday, June 22, informing them of a confirmed case of coronavirus in the school and that it would be closing until July 7.

High Park, a specialist school for pupils with communication and interaction difficulties, is listed as being closed on Bradford Council's website.
