BRADFORD City fans have taken to social media to congratulate Liverpool for winning their first Premier League title.
It is the first time since 1990 that the Reds have won the top flight championship, confirmed after nearest rivals Manchester City crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Chelsea last night.
But Liverpool’s charge to the Premier League title began in pre-season with a poignant friendly with the Bantams in July last year.
A capacity crowd came together at Valley Parade to raise funds for former player Stephen Darby’s charity, the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
The match would end in a 3-1 defeat for the Bantams, but the bond between the clubs has extended to goodwill from City fans to their counterparts from Merseyside.

Liverpool might be kings of football but dont let that distract you from Jordan Gibson's man of the match performance against them in pre-season. #bcafc
