A Bradford woman has re-enlisted into the Army at the Bradford Army Careers Information office having missed the excitement of military operations in her civilian life.

Zoe Knipe, 29, pictured, who originally joined the Army in 1996 and served with the Royal Signals Regiment until her first term of service came to an end in 2003, has re-enlisted as an ammunition technician in the Royal Logistic Corps.

In addition to her time in the Royal Signals Zoe went on operation to Afghanistan with a territorial arm of the Royal Engineers based in Manningham.

The former Woodhouse Grove student passed the selection process and went on to attend and successfully complete the Ammunition Technician board.

She is now looking forward to an eventful career which has started with a golden hello' of £500, due to the trade she will specialise in.

Sgt Shamim Ahmed, from the Bradford careers information office, said: "I wish her every success with her future career."
