A HOMELESS man from Bradford has been re-united with his beloved dog - who had been missing for two weeks - and says his heart has been put "back together" following his safe return.

Kevin Clarke's dog, Tye, went missing on 3 June, after Mr Clarke says he "passed out", due to a health condition that he has, and woke to find Tye no longer by his side.

Tye - who Mr Clarke believed had been stolen, as he would always stay with him through "thick and thin" and never leave of his own accord - vanished from the grounds of The New Beehive Inn, on Westgate, earlier this month.

Mr Clarke said he was "broken" by Tye's disappearance, adding that the dog was his "best friend" and "the only thing I have that is helping me get my life back on track."

On Wednesday night, however, a member of the public contacted Busters Animal SOS Team - who had been helping Mr Clarke in his search - with information on Tye's whereabouts, leading to his safe return.

"It's great news - we got Tye back on Wednesday night, after a long, hard couple of weeks for Kevin", a spokesperson from Busters Animal SOS Team said.

"It came after a member of the public contacted us with information that lead to his safe return.

"Busters Animal SOS Team would like to thank the person who came forward with this information.

"We would also like to thank the people of Bradford and all the Lost and Found Groups, and also the Telegraph & Argus for its coverage, helping to get Tye back safe and well, to where he belongs - Kev has his soulmate back and, as you can imagine, he is overjoyed."

Mr Clarke said: "My heart was breaking, but now it has been put back together. I can't even explain it, really. Tye is like my child.

"I never thought I would see him again, or get him back, but thank you to everyone who has helped."
