MORE flowers have been left at the scene of the death of a man in his 40s in Grattan Road, Bradford.

The name 'Carl' was again inscribed on cards left with the floral tributes but police have so far not named the man involved.

West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing to investigate the man’s death on Tuesday and the circumstances around it.

Following enquiries, three men aged 31, 45 and 51 were arrested on suspicion of murder.

One bouquet, of red roses, was from Carl's father. It said: "RIP son. Taken far too soon. Love you always. Your dad and Anne."

The card on an attached bouquet of yellow roses said: "Rest in peace Carl. You will be missed, never forgotten and always loved. Love Jodie."

A third card read: "Always in our hearts. Love you so much Carl. RIP. Trevor, Mandy and the kids."

A total of eight bouquets were propped up in the rain on Thursday against the wall of the Grattan Studios apartment block near where the ambulance service gave him medical assistance.

A police spokesperson today would not comment on the progress of the investigation and if the three men were still in custody or whether any charges were due to be brought.

Yesterday Detective Superintendent Mark Swift, said: “We believe the deceased was involved in an altercation outside Grattan Road Studios earlier in the day and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information about those involved.”

Anyone with information which may assist can contact the team by calling 101 or using the West Yorkshire Police website.

The log reference is 1283 of June 16.

Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
