THE PUBLIC consultation on the expansion of Leeds Bradford Airport has been extended by three weeks to July 7.

Leeds City Council has decided to allow more time for public comments due to the level of interest generated by the planning application and the amount of documentation submitted as part of it.

Any representations should be submitted before the revised deadline - but the council says all comments received prior to a decision will be taken into account. Details of the application can be viewed and comments can be submitted on Public Access with the application reference number 20/02559/FU

Otley and Yeadon councillor Colin Campbell said:”My colleagues and I would urge everyone who has not yet had the opportunity to comment to use this extended period to do so. It is important that local views on this proposal are recorded.”
