ARMED officers were scrambled to a residential street after reports of an ongoing disturbance involving a male with a firearm.
Poloce were called to the scene, at Glen Court, Heckmondwike, at around 7.30pm yesterday.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Armed officers were deployed and found a male in possession of a firearm, which was later found to be an air weapon.
"He was safely detained and remains in custody today while enquiries into this incident continue."
