Two restaurants are trying to cook up some help for victims of the cyclone disaster in Bangladesh.

Mastab's, in Keighley Road, Skipton, and Bollywood Cottage in Gargrave are offering a three-course meal for £12, excluding drinks, between 5.30pm and 11.30pm on Monday, with all proceeds from the evening going to the disaster charity appeal. A takeaway service is also available as part of the charity night.

Restaurants owner Mastab Ali said: "With 3,000 people dead and many thousands, including children, missing or homeless, we felt we had to do something. Even though we don't know these people, it affects us."
