LIVERSEDGE are launching a Football & Education Scholarship Programme and are open for applications for a September 2020 start.

The programme offers:

  • qualification and daytime training
  • individual player pathways, routes into amateur, semi-pro & professional clubs
  • different types of game play
  • competitive football games programme every Wednesday

BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport

Covers units such as:

  • Sports Coaching
  • Fitness Testing and Training
  • Sports Nutrition
  • Anatomy and Physiology

The education training partner is SCL Education Provider. You will receive a personal login, support from a tutor, and be provided with tasks and assessments to complete throughout the course directly through the platform.

The Playing Experience

The quality of lessons and work produced will be monitored closely.

All teaching staff will be PGCE qualified and be suitably experienced to work with the groups.

Coaching sessions are delivered by FA and UEFA qualified coaches who follow FA rules & regulations.

The club welcome applications from youngsters aged 16 or over and from people who have:

  • a strong interest in playing football
  • a strong interest in coaching football
  • a desire and passion to play to their highest possible level
  • predicted 4 GCSE’s at C or above including English/Maths (an individual action plan can be arranged for learners who fall below)
  • a commitment to continuing their football and academic/vocational education after leaving school
  • played football to a good level or have the potential to do so
  • ambition and want a career in sport
