Two cannabis farms, machetes, BB guns and eight "unhealthy-looking" dogs were discovered during a fast-moving police operation in Bradford.

Officers started to investigate after stopping a vehicle in Bierley and arresting the driver on suspicion of drug supply after nine bags of suspected cannabis were located.

Police then conducted a house search, which revealed a cannabis farm. According to police, the driver's friend was inside trying to remove the cannabis before they arrived.

Police said the second male, who was also arrested, stated that he could not recall his address.

West Yorkshire Police - Bradford South tweeted: "We managed to find his address, which turns out to be next door to this friend house. Another search and we find a cannabis farm, machetes and BB guns inside. We also located eight dogs in both properties which we took into our care due to looking unhealthy.

"Numerous motor bikes located in the garage at the second address too."

Police said some of them were suspected to have been stolen outside of West Yorkshire.

A third person, who tried to intervene as police searched the garage, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A search of his house led to the discovery of keys to a garage outside which contained a suspected stolen Audi along with numerous other vehicle parts believed to be stolen.

Police added: "In total, three arrested for several offences, approx 50 cannabis plants, weapons and cash seized along with all the bikes, stolen vehicles/parts and the dogs 😏 thanks to @WYP_BradfordE and @WYP_Steerside for their help β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘πŸ»."
