LATEST NEWS: Traffic jams on main road through Keighley with reports McDonald's has had to close

MCDONALD'S has finally returned to the Bradford district.

The fast-food chain revealed its latest list of restaurant Drive-Thrus to reopen from today and it included one from our area.

McDonald's began a phased reopening of all its Drive-Thrus across the UK on Tuesday, June 2, with every store's lanes expected to be open by Thursday, June 4.

But Bradford missed out yesterday.

Today's list though included the McDonald's Drive-Thru in Hard Ings Road, Keighley, which opened at 11am.

It is the first restaurant in the Bradford district to reopen its lanes.

All the reopenings come with certain limitations though.

Restaurants are running with smaller teams, meaning orders may take longer to get ready, and the menu is limited to certain items.

The list includes:

  • Big Mac
  • Quarter Pounder with Cheese
  • McChicken Sandwich
  • Vegetable Deluxe, Hamburger
  • Cheeseburger
  • Double Cheeseburger
  • Chicken McNuggets (boxes of six, nine and 20)
  • Chicken Selects (boxes of three and five)
  • Filet-o-Fish, McDonald's Fries (small, medium and large)
  • Mozzarella Dippers
  • Veggie Dippers (four piece and two piece for Happy Meals)
  • Apple & Grape Fruit Bag

The Happy Meal options include:

  • Hamburger Meal
  • Cheeseburger Meal
  • Chicken McNuggets Meal
  • Veggie Dippers Meal

All drinks will be available, other than milkshakes and frappés.

Three McFlurries are also on the list (Maltesers, Smarties and Oreo).

McDonald's is encouraging each store to cap spending at £25 per order, with payment by contactless preferred.

This latest reopening now means people from Bradford will no longer have to travel just under half-an-hour to Wakefield for a Big Mac and fries.

Only two other stores in West Yorkshire reopened their Drive-Thrus today.

This was the Huddersfield Leeds Road restaurant and the store in Huddersfield Gallagher Retail Park.

In total, 10 Drive-Thrus across Yorkshire reopened today, taking the total for the county to 39 since yesterday.

The new reopenings today includes, six in South Yorkshire and one in North Yorkshire.

McDonald's reopened 497 Drive-Thrus altogether today.

The final list of reopenings will be released tomorrow.
