A MALE was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a house fire in Keighley.
Firefighters from Keighley, Silsden and Shipley were called to a property on North Dean Road at around 9.50pm yesterday following reports of smoke coming from a window.
When they arrived at the scene, smoke was coming from the first floor bedroom.
They used breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke and were at the house until 11.30pm.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the bedroom where the fire started was badly damaged and the house did not have any smoke alarms.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
