A FIRE broke out in a derelict Bradford pub in the early hours of the morning.
Firefighters from Bradford, Odsal, Shipley and Fairweather Green were called to the old Newby Square on Bowling Old Lane at around 4.20am.
The fire was on the ground floor and firefighters used three large jets, one aerial appliance and four breathing apparatus.
The cause of the fire is not currently known.
An eyewitness, who called the fire into 999, said there was "a loud bang" which caused him and his sister to look out of their window.
He said: "I seen a small fire but it started spreading extremely fast.
"We called 999.
"They had arrived within 15 minutes and it took them about seven minutes to extinguish the fire."
