LATEST NEWS: Two young men fighting for lives in hospital after Haworth Road crash flipped their car
POLICE shut a road and cordoned it off this morning after a crash last night.
Chellow Grange Road, in Daisy Hill, was closed both ways but reopened at around 10.30am, according to First West Yorkshire.
It was causing congestion on surrounding local routes, particularly Lynfield Drive, according to the AA's traffic page.
First West Yorkshire bus service, 621 (which serves between Haworth Road and Bierley Circular via Bradford Interchange), was being diverted along Lynfield drive towards Haworth Road only during the closure.
It came after a "horrifying accident" at around 8.08pm last night on Haworth Road.
A white car ended up on its roof in Chellow Grange Road and caught on fire.
A resident of Chellow Grange Road said police were at the scene taking pictures in the early hours of this morning.
They added that the vehicles involved in the crash have been removed, but that two police cars are still at the scene, with a cordon in place.
West Yorkshire Police has since released an appeal for witnesses, with two 20-year-olds fighting for their lives in hospital after the crash.
They were trapped in their flipped white Audi, alongside two 19-year-olds who suffered serious injuries.
