Man to appear in court charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding two police officers in Bradford
A man has been sent in custody to Bradford Crown Court charged with the Section 18 wounding of two police officers in the city.
Corbin Samuels, 28, of The Grove, Idle, is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding PC Matthew Johnson and PC Bradley Smith with intent to resist or prevent his lawful apprehension in Idle on Wednesday.
He is also charged with importing a prohibited weapon, namely a Bruni Mod blank firing pistol, on May 8.
Samuels appeared at West Yorkshire Magistrates’ Court in Leeds this morning and was sent to Bradford Crown Court on June 19.
