TWO further Covid-19 deaths have been recorded at hospitals in the Bradford district in the 24 hours to 5pm on Wednesday.

One death was reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust yesterday and another was reported at Airedale Hospital on the 19th.

There were no further fatalities recorded by Bradford District Care Trust.

It brings the total number of deaths to 287.

A total of 99 deaths have been reported at Airedale, two at the care trust and 186 at BRI.

A further 187 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, in hospitals in England bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths to 25,266.

Patients were aged between 14 and 98 years old.

Six of the 187 patients (aged between 46 and 94) had no known underlying health condition. Their families have been informed.

The number of deaths of patients with Covid-19 by region are as follows: East of England 25, London 19, Midlands 36, North East & Yorkshire 33, North West 45, South East 24, South West 5.

* The Covid Patient Notification System did not operate for a period of time on Saturday 16 May. The consequences of this situation may therefore be reflected in the number of deaths reported today by NHS England and NHS Improvement.

Today, 32 deaths are reported with no positive COVID-19 test result.
