A CITY centre cafe is reopening for takeaways and deliveries only after being forced to shut down amid the coronavirus lockdown.
The Rooftop Cafe, in Little Germany, is based at the Kala Sangam arts centre, and owner James Heslegrave believes they can reopen safely, so is trialling the new service from Tuesday, May 26.
He said that staff would be using PPE and complying with social distancing rules, and that all payments, deliveries and pick-ups would be contactless.
A collection point has been created within the car park around the back of the building as the centre is still not open to the public.
"We thought, let's have a go. We hope to give something back to people that have supported us for the last two and a half years."
