FIVE further Covid-19 related deaths have been reported by hospitals in the Bradford district.

Figures from NHS England show Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has reported four new deaths, while Airedale has reported one. 

Of the four which happened at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, two patients died yesterday and two on Saturday. 

The death at Airedale happened yesterday. Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust did not report any further deaths. 

This means the hospital death toll in the Bradford district now stands at 281 - 183 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 96 at Airedale and two at the Bradford District Care trust.

In total, a further 28 deaths were reported in Yorkshire and the North East.

And in England, the deaths of a further 122 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus were announced, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 24,739.

Patients were aged between 47 and 100 years old.  Seven of the 122 patients, aged between 50 and 85, had no known underlying health condition.  

Their families have been informed.
