PLANNED multi-million pound renovations to The Skipton Academy have been given the go-ahead by Craven District Council.
The transformational renovations involving every part of the school, including the grade two listed former home of the Dewhurst mill owning family, Aireville Hall - now known as House Block - have been made possible thanks to a £3.2 million investment from the Government’s Department for Education.
Principal Richard McManus is pictured above.
The renovation plans will see the restoration and repair of windows in listed parts of the site, and the replacement of windows, curtain walling and roof in other buildings including the gym and changing rooms.
