A motorist blasted through a wall of spray at over 100mph, attracting the attention of police.
The driver, who told officers he was 'just going for a drive', was clocked at an eyebrow-raising 106mph in tricky conditions on the M62.
The incident happened around the Outlane junction, not far from Scapegoat Hill, on Thursday night.
The roads policing unit tweeted: "Clocked at 106mph overtaking through walls of spray. Reason for being out? 'Just going for a drive.'
" Reported for the magistrates to decide about their privilege to drive and Covid19 warnings issued."
