WOMEN in Bradford have the smallest feet in the UK, according to a new study.

A total of 25 per cent of Bradfordian women are a shoe size four or below. This compares to the biggest female feet which can be found in Milton Keynes, where more than 15 per cent of women’s shoe sales are a size eight or above.

Meanwhile, people in Hull have bigger feet than any other UK and Irish city, with almost seven per cent of men having a size 12, on average, a new study has suggested.

Comparatively, the research also suggested that men in Oxford have the smallest feet in the UK, with 10 per cent of men having a size 6 on average.

Relatively, the average shoe size across the UK for men, is a size 9.

The research, carried out by UK shoe retailer, Shoe Zone, analysed sales data from over 500 UK stores to see where exactly in the UK the smallest and the biggest feet are, and to highlight the importance of wearing the correct shoe size.

The study also goes on to suggest that Edinburgh residents have bigger feet than Glaswegians.

Over 17 per cent of men take a size seven or below in Edinburgh, whereas in Glasgow see over a fifth (22 per cent) of men.

In Edinburgh, 19 per cent of women are a size four or below, compared to Glasgow, where 29 per cent of women are a size four or below. Across the UK & Ireland, women have an average shoe size of a six.

Further findings revealed that men in the North have bigger feet than those in the South, with research suggesting that one in 10 northern men have bigger feet than southern men.

When looking at the UK and Republic of Ireland, Shoe Zone discovered that Scottish men, have the biggest feet, with almost 16 per cent of sales being a size 11 or over.

It was also revealed that Irish men have the smallest feet, with smaller sizes flying off the shelves and over 21% of sales being a size 6 or below.

English women have the biggest feet throughout the UK and Ireland. Over four per cent of shoe sales were a size 9, meanwhile Ireland again prove to have the smaller feet with 9.6 per cent of sales being size three, the highest percentage throughout the UK and Ireland.
