FIVE PEOPLE were arrested last night - including three of Bradford South's "most wanted" - after a car crashed following a police pursuit, it was tweeted this morning.
West Yorkshire Police - Bradford South wrote, just before 9am today, about how its team noticed a cloned Citroen C8 in the Buttershaw area, which it says was linked to three of its "most wanted" suspects.
The Citroen failed to stop after it was pursued by police, driving dangerously for "around five minutes" before crashing, in the Odsal Top area, as the five people in the car began to flee on foot.
All five were then arrested, however, for a range of offences, including burglary, theft of vehicle, assault and other driving matters, the tweet says.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police - Bradford South later added that "The vehicle was pursued through Buttershaw and into Wibsey before crashing in the KFC car park at Odsal Top."
The spokesperson added, "All those arrested were detained within a matter of minutes and the investigation is still ongoing, with all five still in custody at this time."
A convertible Nissan Micra, which was "hidden away", was also seized in connection with the incident.
