BRADFORD politicians and dignitaries have lent their support to Boris Johnson as he remains in intensive care at a London hospital today after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.

Mr Johnson was moved to intensive care at about 7pm last night and was understood to be conscious but moved as a precaution should he require a ventilator.
The 55-year-old had been admitted to St Thomas' Hospital in central London on Sunday evening after testing positive for coronavirus 10 days previously.

News of Mr Johnson’s move to intensive care was met with tweets of support for our Prime Minister by the great and the good from across the Bradford district.

Here's a selection of those tweets since last night's announcement:

Bradford East MP Imran Hussain tweeted: "Wishing the Prime Minister well and all the best for recovery. This is a shocking reminder that Coronavirus can affect any one of us. Please all take care and be safe."

Councillor Richard Dunbar (Lab, Thornton, Allerton and Sandy Lane) tweeted:

Mark Burns Williamson, West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, tweeted: "Wishing Boris Johnson well tonight, thoughts are with Carrie Symonds and family and all at NHS Uk in these troubling times."

Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore tweeted:
