BURLEY-in-Wharfedale couple Alf and Betty Robinson, both aged 91, celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary on April 1.
It’s been calculated that only 30 couples each year achieve the milestone of 70 years of marriage.
Their family was going to hold a big party but the coronavirus put paid to that.
Instead Betty used her iPad to FaceTime her extended family around the world.
The couple still live at home and have received many cards of congratulations from their seven children and partners, 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, friends and other relatives.
Her Majesty the Queen also sent the happy couple a message of congratulations. She too has already achieved this great achievement.
