THERE has been one further reported death from coronavirus in the Bradford district.
Public Health England's latest update today showed that one person, who had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, had died at Airedale General Hospital as of 5pm on Saturday, April 4.
The death was on Saturday, April 4.
There were no further deaths reported at Bradford Royal Infirmary in today's update.
But, another death there from coronavirus was announced yesterday by Public Health England.
Today's update takes the total deaths from COVID-19 in the Bradford district to 29 - 17 at BRI and 12 at Airedale.
Public Health England also revealed that, in total, 555 people who tested positive at hospitals across England died, as of 5pm on Saturday, April 4 - 103 of which were in the North East and Yorkshire.
It brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in England hospitals to 4,494.
Patients were aged between 33 and 103-years-old.
Most had underlying conditions, but 29 of the 555 patients (aged between 35 and 95-years-old) did not.
Their families have been informed.
The Department of Health said a total of 4,934 patients have died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK, as of 5pm on Saturday, April 4.
This is 621 more deaths from the day before.
