A SUPERMARKET chain is donating 14,500 Easter eggs to charities in West Yorkshire.
From 2 April to 11 April, Aldi will provide 50 Easter eggs per store, each day, to charities and food banks which support vulnerable people, with the donations forming part of Aldi’s partnership with community platform Neighbourly.
Fritz Walleczek, Managing Director of Corporate Responsibility at Aldi UK and Ireland, said: “Working with Neighbourly to donate Easter eggs is a great way for us to bring a festive treat this Easter.”
Steve Butterworth, Neighbourly CEO, said: "We’re grateful to partner with Aldi and proud to support them in their commitment to reduce food waste and make a positive difference, particularly in this difficult time”.
