TWO men have used rocks to smash the windows of a pub in a North Yorkshire village.

North Yorkshire Police said the incident happened at the Oddfellows Arms in High Street, Carlton, near Selby, between 10pm and 10.05pm on Thursday March 26.

"Two men were seen using rocks to smash the windows of the pub and then left the scene in an old-style Audi A3 which is believed to be silver in colour," said a spokesman.

"We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"In particular, we are appealing for anyone who might have seen anyone in the vicinity of the pub around the time of the incident."
