A BRADFORD dad has shared his son's funny reaction to the news he can't go to the park anymore.
As part of the family's daily walk, Christy Sherry and his son Ezra-Valentine ventured to Wibsey Park for some fresh air.
On the way the pair passed the play park where little Ezra-Valentine found out the harsh reality of coronavirus measures - no more swings or slides.
His dad described the photo as 'iconic'.
Christy told the Telegraph & Argus: "Naturally he wanted to go on the swings and slide and I managed to capture his reaction when I told him we couldn't go in.
"I thought his little face summed it all up. He's only two so we're limited as to what we can tell him but we've mainly been explaining that people are poorly, such as his grandparents and cousins (who are perfectly healthy).
"I tried to tell him the park was covered in germs from the poorly people but he wasn't impressed."
Dad managed to save the day by feeding the ducks but understands how his son struggles to wrap their head aorund the pandemic restrictions.
Christy added: "He's particularly become upset about not seeing his grandad and is blowing hot and cold with him on video calls because he feels like he's being rejected!"
"He did enjoy feeding the ducks.
"It's important to make sure we stick to self-isolation wherever possible but don't be afraid to take children outdoors to wide open spaces and try combine it with your daily exercise allowance. Children can't lose out on months of their childhood. Above all, be responsible. Keep your distance and keep yourself clean."
