ANOTHER 563 people have died from coronavirus according to the Department of Health.

As of 5pm on March 31, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 2,352 had died.

The previous figure was 1,789.

The number of coronavirus cases in the Bradford district has increased to 80 according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

This is an increase in 17 from the previous figure of 63.

As of 9am today, a total of 152,979 people had been tested across England of whom 29,474 tested positive.

In yesterday's figures from NHS England, Bradford district's total death toll stands at nine.

Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, a further seven people are reported to have died from Covid-19 in Leeds, bringing the city's death toll to 19, while there were four further deaths reported from The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which includes hospitals in Pontefract, Wakefield and Dewsbury.
