WEST YORKSHIRE Police has reminded people not to call the emergency services for guidance on coronavirus.
WYP Contact Management Centre tweeted, this morning, that it has been recieveing a higher number of 101 calls from people seeking advice on COVID-19.
It also tweeted that someone called police to complain about a lack of food delivery slots, yesterday, before reminding people that, in that situation, they should instead contact their local council or supermarket.
After the UK first went into lockdown, over a week ago now, West Yorkshire Police said it was experincing a higher number of calls from people looking for advice.
For the latest information on coronavirus, members of the public are encouraged to visit gov.uk/coronavirus and should not call the emergency services.
