A GROUP of youths had a barbecue in allotments despite the government's new rules on staying indoors.
Fire fighters warned against people not taking the new lockdown rules seriously as they were called to reports of a group of youths enjoying a barbecue in allotments in March Street, Burnley.
At 7.40pm the youth group ignored government advice and rules on only going out if it was essential.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "This is a waste of our resources.
"During this time we have not got the resources to put out little fires when there could be something serious and we ask people to be sensible during this time, and listen to government advice."
The crews were at the scene for 25 minutes as police arrived to deal with the incident.
