POLICE stopped a driver who had taken a car without permission by using a stinger.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Bradford West team spotted a Volkswagen Golf driving dangerously yesterday.
They discovered the driver had got hold of the vehicle by aggravated TWOC (taking without the car owner's consent).
The driver also had no licence or insurance.
Police tried to pull the car over, but it failed to stop.
Officers then began a chase with the Golf and were supported by West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit.
A stinger was eventually deployed, which helped stop the Golf.
There were no injuries and no damage to any of the other vehicles.
The driver was arrested and charged.
