BREWDOG Bradford has been forced to postpone its opening because of the coronavirus campaign.

The Government announced on Friday that it was closing pubs, restaurants and bars but proprietor James Douglas said beforehand that he was pulling the opening of the new venue in the former BrewHaus premises on Morley Street.

It was ready to open on March 27 but now that has been "paused".

Mr Douglas said: "We have heavily invested but to open a venue in a week when everyone else is closing would be foolhardy.

"Brewdog Bradford is in the right spot and street location but the choice has been taken out of our hands."

He said that it would open when it was appropriate.

He added that all the staff had been recruited for the new venue but no job offers had gone out. He said they would recruit again before it opened.
