POLICE remain at the scene of a late night incident as the investigation continues into reports of gun shots.

The incident took place on Buxton Street in the Manningham/Heaton area around 7pm last night.

One police officer is guarding the door while a cordon is in place at both ends of the street.

No one has been injured, the force confirmed.
A man is currently in custody in connection with the incident.

Witnesses nearby reported emergency helicopters were circling around in the sky at the time of the incident.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are investigating after unconfirmed reports of a firearms discharge on Buxton Street in Bradford last night.

"Officers were called at 19.10 hours to reports of a sounds of gun being discharged.

"No one has been injured.

"Extensive enquiries are ongoing, one male remains in custody in connection with the incident."
