A POPULAR shisha cafe in Bradford has laid out a set of precautions for all shisha cafes, bars, and lounges to follow in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Junoon Café, found on Grattan Road in the BD1 area, said it will remain open with extra hygiene precautions in place.

The prime minister advised the public to avoid all bars, pubs and clubs on Monday and to start social distancing but this lounge will remain open for the time being.

Staff will check the temperature of guests using a no touch/infrared thermometer and have hand sanitizer available to customers at entrances and on any other doorways.

All cashiers and staff members will wear gloves and advise customers to purchase shishas for their own use only and not share them with other guests.

Disposable shisha pipes and mouth tips will be used with all shishas thoroughly cleaned after every use. There will also be a complete wash down of all surfaces before and after customer use and the company said it guarantees all seating areas are kept clean.

Junoon's Oli Anderson said: “It’s vital shisha establishments follow the necessary precautions to ensure the best hygiene standards."
