A HOUSEBUILDER with schemes across the Bradford district is urging more women to consider a career in the construction industry.
Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has spotlighted the roles of some of its current female employees as part of the initiative.
Aimee Ward, 29, joined the company – whose schemes include Vision in Keighley and Saxon Dene, Silsden – as customer care co-ordinator after spending four years as an event organiser.
Anna Mason, 23, enrolled as a technical graduate on a Barratt development programme five months ago.
Esme McQue, 24, worked in the fashion and apparel industry before joining Barratt as marketing executive. And Nicola Melia, 36, is an assistant quantity surveyor with the firm.
Managing director, Ian Ruthven, said: “We’re proud to champion women in the industry.”
