PLANS to move move the Muslim Bereavement Service offices into a building at Scholemoor Cemetery have been revealed.
The prayer shelter at the cemetery also contains storage space for grave digging equipment, which is currently stored elsewhere.
Now the Bradford Council For Mosques has submitted a planning application to change this unused storage space into two offices that will be used by the bereavement team.
Site of planned £9.1 million crematorium in North of the District revealed
It will lead to one full time and one part time members of staff working from the building. There will be minor changes to the building.
Scholemoor Cemetery is home to the Bradford District's Muslim burial grounds, and the main part of this building is used by mourners to pray.
A decision on the planning application is expected next month.
