PLANS to create a mezzanine floor cafe in an under construction supermarket have been submitted to Bradford Council.
In December 2017 a planning application to turn the former Halfords Store on Leeds Road in Thornbury into a supermarket was approved by Bradford Council.
The building had been derelict for a number of years before the application, and work is currently ongoing to convert it into the supermarket.

Now a new application for the building has been submitted to the Council by Adil Chaudry of Al Halal Supermarket. It seeks permission for part of the building’s mezzanine floor area to be a cafe. Plans show seating for over 70 people.
A decision on the application is expected in early May.
