THE EPILEPSY Action Bradford 10k, which was due to take place tomorrow, has been cancelled amid coronavirus fears.
Carl Foster, race director, said: “Unfortunately, despite every effort being made over the last 48 hours, the Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k has been cancelled due to concerns around coronavirus.
“We are very disappointed to have to make this announcement, but the health of our runners, marshals, spectators and the local community must be our first priority. This has not been an easy decision to make, especially the day before the event, and we are sorry for the disappointment this will undoubtedly cause.

“We apologise to all runners who were travelling to the race and hope everyone understands the decision that has been made.
“All runners and volunteers have now been contacted by email and text. We are working hard to look at the options for postponement to later in the year, or simply cancelling and deferring all places to the 2021 race. Runners should keep hold of their race numbers for now.
“We will contact all runners with further updates in due course.”
