TWO cars were involved in a smash on a major Bradford road in the early hours of the morning.

Emergency services were called to Legrams Lane, at the junction with Horton Grange Road, at around 12.50am.

A private hire Seat Toledo and a Nissan Juke were involved. All passengers managed to get out of the cars before firefighters arrived.

A West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesman said the Seat had rolled over several times before hitting a wall and taking out traffic lights.

Firefighters had to make the scene safe as live wires had been exposed from the traffic lights as a result of the crash.

The road was closed while emergency services cleared the crash, which happened outside the Kwik Fit garage.

It's understood the occupants of the cars were taken to the Bradford Royal Infirmary as a precautionary measure.
