OTLEY’S Black Horse Hotel has won its first award following a major relaunch.
The inn was taken over by Kirkstall Brewery and Brudenell Social Club last Spring and reopened in June, 2019 following an extensive refurbishment.
It has now been named Winter Pub of the Year 2020 by the West Riding Branch of the Society for the Preservation of Beers from the Wood (SPBW).
SPBW Chair David Hardcastle recently presented the award to the Black Horse’s General Manager, Jen Gibb, and Kirkstall Brewery’s MD Steve Holt.
Kirkstall Brewery and Brudenell Social Club is also pursuing plans to make the business a successful hotel and music venue.
Bob Brook from Otley Pub Club said: “This award shows how successful they have been in the first of those endeavours and they will soon be able to announce when all of the hotel bedrooms will become available again.”
