A teenager is in custody awaiting sentence for setting fire to her supported housing accommodation in Bradford.

Kelsie Nolan pleaded guilty to reckless arson when she appeared on a video link to Bradford Crown Court from Newhall Prison today.

Nolan, 19, started the blaze at her Places for People flat in Vicar Lane, Little Germany, on November 27.

The court heard that a psychiatric report had been prepared but the probation service needed to see it to decide if they considered Nolan to be a danger to the public.

Judge Jonathan Rose told her: “As you know, this is a very, very serious offence,”

Nolan will be sentenced at the crown court on March 27.
