VOLUNTEERS and Council staff in the Bradford West area will leap to action and join forces for a clean-up and planting day in Girlington on Saturday.
Everyone taking part in the activity will meet at St Philips Church, Thorn Street, at 11am and the event will last until 1.30pm. Refreshments will be available.
It has been arranged through the #PeopleCan volunteering scheme.
Clean-up campaign launched to make Girlington a place of pride
Councillor Abdul Jabar, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Neighbourhoods and Community Safety, said: “It’s great to see people who are willing to give up their own time to improve their surroundings. By working together in the spirit of #PeopleCan, a real difference can be made across our communities.”
